Hanaa Malallah Lecture at AUB "Coexistent Ruins"
16/03/2023 |
This collaborative and multidisciplinary project led to the question of the possibility of the project based on research in four sites, namely: Babylon, Ur, Nefer and Nineveh, in addition to research in the Museum of Antiquities in Baghdad. Our project follows up on the Colonial Visionary Landscapes project on archaeological sites in Mesopotamia, as well as an important question, which is an artistic research project, promoted by it, reformulating and addressing a new relationship with antiquities, an area known to the West as the root of their civilization and the losses of civilizations. And based on that, based on that, based on that, based on that, based on that, based on that, based on that, based on that, based on that, based on a model for building and building land in Mesopotamia now.
The lecture will focus specifically on two research papers: the 2022 votive vase and the story of the remains of the two jewelry sets: the jewelry of plunder and violence.
